Costume Designer – Casual Temporary (CT) / Seasonal – Disney Cruise Line

Location: Orlando, Florida, United States; willingness to travel between multiple work locations is required.

Salary: $49,800–$66,720 per year.

What you will do

• Develop imaginative operational and entertainment costumes for hirify.global Cruise Line through full-color digital renderings and costume research.
• Select fabrics and trims, create custom textiles, and oversee pattern changes, prototypes, and garment completion.
• Design performance solutions for 2D and 3D creatures in theatrical presentations.
• Present designs to stakeholders and attend rehearsals and development sessions to support design decisions.
• Collaborate with clients, associated studios, Walt hirify.global Imagineering, and Walt hirify.global Entertainment on costume development.
• Maintain costume design integrity, quality, communication, and coordination across artistic, production, and operating partners.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of design experience in live show production, theatre, film, or fashion design, including 3 years in large-scale production.
• Digital portfolio demonstrating completed illustrations and realized design work.
• Strong digital drawing, aesthetic, conceptual, presentation, and public-speaking skills.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator, plus deep knowledge of textiles and human anatomy.
• Bachelor’s degree in fashion design, costume design, or a related field.
• Availability for flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays, and comfort working with fabrics, fibers, and synthetic materials.

Nice to have

• At least 5 years of experience in theme parks or a related position.
• At least 3 years of experience in pattern and garment construction.
• Knowledge of fashion history, current trends, and evolving fabric technologies.
• Experience directing technical design and documentation teams or partners.
• Professional experience handling garments, costumes, or clothing.
