Apparel Designer - A&F Women's YPB (Activewear)

Location: Columbus, Ohio, United States. Hybrid schedule with Mondays and Fridays available as work-from-anywhere days for most roles, plus six additional work-from-anywhere weeks per year.

What you will do

• Drive the daily design process from trend research and mood boards through sketching, technical packs, BOM development, fabric and trim selection, fittings, and final garment approval.
• Design seasonal styles for the Women’s YPB On-The-Go and Restore collections, including outerwear, dresses, and knit layers.
• Manage multiple seasons and product lifecycles across the collection.
• Research global markets and translate emerging trends into relevant product concepts.
• Present collections, style and fit recommendations, ideas, and trends to senior leadership.
• Lead, manage, and coach one designer.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field and 4+ years of hands-on apparel design experience.
• Portfolio demonstrating technical execution and aesthetic leadership.
• Strong understanding of apparel design and production processes, with activewear expertise preferred.
• Proficiency with PLM and Adobe Suite design software.
• Extensive knowledge of fabrics, fits, and construction methods.
• Strong presentation, communication, collaboration, customer insight, trend analysis, adaptability, and independent ownership skills.
