Solutions Engineer (Europe) — Platform Solutions Group

Location: Based in Europe; hybrid workplace in Ireland or London, UK, with travel across EU markets for client meetings, workshops, and go-lives.

What you will do

• Own the technical workstream for enterprise opportunities from discovery through contract signature.
• Build solution narratives covering architecture, integration approach, platform fit, and commercial rationale.
• Lead technical discovery and design scalable, secure solutions across APIs, hosted fields, payment orchestration, token vaults, middleware, and data feeds.
• Partner with Sales on deal strategy, executive discussions, competitive positioning, RFI/RFP responses, and objection handling.
• Guide clients through integrations across POS, eCommerce, mobile, and partner ecosystems in European markets.
• Develop reusable architectures, integration patterns, technical playbooks, and client-facing materials while mentoring Sales Engineers.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or a comparable client-facing technical role.
• Deep payments and fintech expertise, including PSD2/SCA, SEPA, local card schemes, multi-acquirer setups, cross-border payments, and DCC flows.
• Strong command of APIs, enterprise integration architecture, and payment flows across POS, eCommerce, and mobile.
• Experience influencing large, complex enterprise deals through technical positioning and executive-level communication.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Sales, Product, and Engineering.
• Must be based in Europe and able to travel across EU markets.

Nice to have

• Experience with payment certifications, gateway integrations, and processor workflows.
• Experience supporting both new enterprise pursuits and expansion of existing client accounts.
• Experience with large-scale, multi-system implementations in hospitality, retail, or enterprise environments.
• Fluency in Spanish or French in addition to English.
