Lean Manufacturing Engineer (Python/VBA)

What you will do

• Analyze equipment assembly, wiring, and commissioning processes using VSM, line balancing, time studies, TPM, SMED, and 5S.
• Improve assembly efficiency, first-pass yield, throughput, and production flow by removing manufacturing waste and bottlenecks.
• Optimize workshop layouts, functional zoning, workstation arrangements, material routing, cellular manufacturing, and modular assembly stations.
• Improve warehouse location planning, material turnover, slow-moving inventory management, and overall plant space utilization.
• Develop Python/VBA scripts, lightweight factory tools, automated reports, data aggregation programs, and abnormality alerts.
• Build manufacturing data models and real-time dashboards for capacity, efficiency, yield, working hours, WIP, lead time, inventory turnover, delivery schedules, and defects.

Requirements

• College degree or above in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, data-related disciplines, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of lean process improvement experience in equipment manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Python and VBA for automated reports, data processing scripts, and lightweight factory tools.
• Experience with layout optimization, cellular manufacturing, VSM, line balancing, and on-site lean improvement.
• Knowledge of non-standard equipment assembly, electrical cabinet production, and machine commissioning processes.
• Good English reading and writing skills are required for direct communication with electrical engineers from abroad.

Nice to have

• Lean process improvement experience with sorting machines or inspection automation equipment.
