Senior Firmware Engineer (C)

Location: South Jordan, Utah, United States; in-office five days per week

What you will do

• Develop and debug embedded firmware for bare-metal microcontrollers, RTOS, Systems on Chip, and Single Board Computers.
• Derive technical requirements from product requirements and collaborate with product management.
• Bring up new boards and systems with the hardware engineering team.
• Develop actuator control systems, including PID tuning and dynamic control.
• Integrate and analyze optical, thermal, and reflective sensor data using signal processing and noise reduction techniques.
• Debug USB, UART, SPI, I2C, PWM, and GPIO interfaces, and develop C/C++ tools for testing, automation, and manufacturing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science; robotics or control emphasis is preferred.
• 5+ years of embedded firmware experience, or strong project/internship experience for new graduates.
• Strong C programming skills; experience with C++ or Assembly is beneficial.
• Experience with bare-metal microcontrollers, FPGA, and Real-Time Operating System development.
• Experience developing embedded solutions for electromechanical commercial electronics such as die cutters, plotters, or printers.
• Current citizenship or permanent residency may be required because visa sponsorship is not currently available for all visa types.
