Senior Infrastructure Engineer

What you will do

• Operate and maintain Debian and Rocky Linux infrastructure.
• Manage Proxmox VE clusters, KVM/QEMU virtual machines, and the full VM lifecycle.
• Plan and execute Linux, Proxmox, and production infrastructure updates and upgrades.
• Manage backup, restore, replication, and disaster recovery validation for servers and virtual machines.
• Troubleshoot compute, storage, operating system, and networking issues.
• Automate operational tasks with Ansible and scripting, and prepare migration, change, validation, and rollback plans.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on Linux infrastructure experience.
• Strong knowledge of Debian, Rocky Linux, systemd, package management, filesystems, LVM, RAID, SSH, and sudo.
• Production experience with Proxmox VE, KVM/QEMU, Proxmox clusters, quorum, Corosync, and failure scenarios.
• Practical ZFS experience, including pools, datasets, snapshots, replication, disk replacement, and failure recovery.
• Knowledge of Linux networking, including TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, bonding, DNS, MTU, and firewalls.
• Experience with backup and restore, Proxmox Backup Server or similar solutions, Ansible, Bash, and Git.

Nice to have

• Experience with shared or distributed storage such as Ceph, SAN, iSCSI, or NFS.
• Python and monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, or Grafana.
• Experience with physical servers, data center hardware, hardware RAID, HBA, IPMI, iDRAC, or iLO.
• Participation in disaster recovery or infrastructure migration projects.
