Machine Learning Engineer III (Routing)

Location: Remote in Poland

Annual compensation: $102,000–$153,000 USD

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end feature implementation across the Routing Cost team and the broader navigation organization.
• Design, build, and optimize machine learning and data pipelines.
• Develop automated quality assurance, data exploration, tuning, and outlier detection tools.
• Apply geospatial algorithms and collaborate with data scientists to improve movement and traffic models.
• Mentor engineers and participate in code and design reviews.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, including occasional responses outside normal working hours.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of backend and machine learning engineering experience.
• Extensive experience with Python, distributed processing pipelines such as Hadoop, Spark, Airflow, and Dask, and very large datasets.
• Experience with statistical analysis, data quality control, storage optimization, and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong ownership, architecture, operational excellence, and data-informed decision-making skills.
• Experience mentoring and leading engineering teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across security, DevOps, data, compliance, and product functions.
