Senior Python Engineer, Integration

Location: Barcelona, Spain; remote workplace

What you will do

• Own backend features and improvements from design through implementation, deployment, and production support.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services using Python and Django.
• Build and maintain integrations with KYC providers, geolocation services, payment partners, and other third-party systems.
• Work with product and engineering teams to scope and deliver new integrations.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and other observability practices across integration flows.
• Write unit and integration tests, troubleshoot production issues, and participate in on-call rotations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of development experience with Python as the primary language.
• Strong experience with APIs and system integrations, including webhooks, callbacks, idempotency, and failure handling.
• Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and concurrency.
• Experience designing highly loaded and scalable solutions.
• Understanding of the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis through deployment and production monitoring.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations.

• Experience with payments and KYC integrations.
• Experience in early-stage startups and fast-paced engineering environments.
• Experience with automated testing, test coverage, and test automation strategies.
• Experience with Datadog, CloudWatch, or Grafana.
• Experience in sports or betting industries.
