Production Engineer (Industrial Gases)

Location: Prai, Penang, Malaysia; onsite plant-based role

What you will do

• Supervise plant personnel and ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of air separation units and high-purity nitrogen generators.
• Inspect operating conditions, identify abnormalities, and coordinate immediate corrective actions with plant personnel.
• Plan daily and monthly production for Malaysian ASU plants in collaboration with commercial, distribution, and scheduling teams.
• Monitor production costs, tank inventory, operating data, plant power models, and production databases.
• Maintain operating logs and prepare monthly production, waste inventory, and other required reports.
• Support process optimization, personnel training, safety programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, preferably Gas or Chemical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of manufacturing production experience.
• Ability to work hands-on in an operating plant.
• Ability to collaborate with plant operations, engineering, maintenance, and Global Support Services.
• Knowledge of or ability to follow ISO 9002, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, Food Safety Management System, and Halal certification procedures.
