Backend Engineering Lead (Go; Compliance)

hirify.global is building a Compliance & Risk Platform supporting compliance systems, regulatory requirements, and operational efficiency.

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of backend systems for compliance and risk products.
• Build scalable Go services and APIs for onboarding, monitoring, restrictions, and internal tooling.
• Own the technical architecture of reliable, secure, auditable, and observable compliance systems.
• Translate regulatory requirements into scalable technical solutions with Compliance, Risk, AML Operations, Product, and Engineering stakeholders.
• Improve automation and operational efficiency across compliance workflows.
• Mentor engineers, establish backend engineering standards, and participate in hiring.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong backend engineering expertise, particularly with Go.
• Experience building production-grade APIs and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of system reliability, security, and auditability.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and modern engineering workflows.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with compliance and operational stakeholders, with strong ownership and execution.

Nice to have

• Experience with compliance, fintech, payments, fraud, identity, or risk-related products.
• Familiarity with KYC/KYB, AML, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, or operational tooling.
• Experience in crypto, stablecoins, or Web3 infrastructure.
• Experience with internal tooling, workflow systems, event-driven architectures, or high-scale backend systems.
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, PostgreSQL, or Redis.
