TL;DR

What you will do

  • Coordinate statutory reporting, compliance, and controllership activities across China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and Korea.
  • Manage statutory audits, auditor requests, supporting documentation, financial statements, disclosures, and reporting packages.
  • Partner with Tax, Legal, shared services, external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies on compliance and filing requirements.
  • Perform general ledger reviews, balance sheet analyses, account reconciliations, variance assessments, and month-, quarter-, and year-end close activities.
  • Coordinate board approval processes, statutory filings, governance activities, and legal entity compliance.
  • Lead and develop controllership teams across markets and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in accounting, controllership, statutory reporting, audit coordination, or a related finance function.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, balance sheet reviews, reconciliations, and internal controls.
  • Experience working with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies across multiple countries.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP, and strong project coordination, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Fluent English is required; the role is based in Kunshan, China, with hybrid working.

Nice to have

  • Experience in a multinational company with regional or global responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of China tax regulations, US GAAP, and local GAAP.
  • Japanese or Korean language skills.
