Research Analyst, Equities (AI)

Location: Hong Kong, Hong Kong; hybrid schedule with at least four days per week in the designated hirify.global office and one day outside the office.

What you will do

• Conduct fundamental research on companies and equity securities in Hong Kong, China, and emerging Asian markets.
• Develop differentiated investment theses, forward-looking research agendas, scenarios, and forecasts.
• Build and maintain financial and valuation models, model portfolios, and risk monitoring tools for Investment Directors and Fund Managers.
• Use approved AI, alternative data, and automation for data extraction, comparison, anomaly detection, workflow improvement, and research production, with independent verification and audit trails.
• Perform primary research through management meetings, industry engagement, and site visits.
• Present concise, evidence-based views and recommendations at weekly team and quarterly investment meetings.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of buy-side or sell-side research experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Hong Kong and China equity markets.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, communication, teamwork, and professional skills.
• Advanced digital fluency in financial modelling, data visualization, approved AI, and automation tools.
• University degree or higher in economics, finance, data science, or a related field; CFA qualification required.
