Mobile Engineer III (Android)

Salary: $146,000–$204,500 total cash annually, with potential pay up to $233,500 based on sustained performance.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Android applications and supporting services for partner-facing experiences.
• Translate product and technical requirements into scalable, maintainable, performant, and secure solutions.
• Apply system design, low-level design, API design, and data modeling principles to mobile and service integrations.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and other technical teams to deliver solutions and resolve complex problems.
• Safely integrate AI/ML-enabled solutions and apply AI/ML concepts to real-world Android products.
• Contribute to testing, monitoring, debugging, documentation, observability, and continuous operational improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience developing production Android applications and services using appropriate mobile engineering practices and programming languages.
• Experience owning engineering work from design and implementation through testing, deployment, and ongoing operation.
• Proficiency in system design, low-level design, API design, data modeling, software testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and apply technical judgment to deliver reliable solutions across multiple domains.

Nice to have

• Experience designing Android solutions that operate reliably at scale across multiple services or product areas.
• Technical leadership experience in mobile architecture and implementation decisions.
• Strong operational practices, including observability, incident response, and performance analysis.
• Experience using customer or product insights to evaluate technical tradeoffs.
• Practical experience applying AI/ML concepts or AI-enabled development workflows to Android products.
