TL;DR
Junior IT Developer (Workday): Developing and supporting HR and payroll application systems with an accent on Workday configuration, integrations, software development, and user acceptance testing. Focus on designing HR technology solutions, troubleshooting high-impact issues, and maintaining systems across recruiting, compensation, performance, and talent management.
Location: Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia; onsite at Bayan Lepas PN2

What you will do
- Develop, configure, test, debug, maintain, enhance, and install software for new and ongoing business projects.
- Implement and support HR and payroll application systems.
- Participate in requirements analysis, system design, coding, integration, and solution delivery with HR subject matter experts and business partners.
- Conduct user acceptance testing, expand test scenarios, and monitor operational processes.
- Manage Workday configuration and integrations for recruiting, compensation, performance management, and talent management.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and provide ongoing operational support while maintaining and upgrading existing systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification; relevant work experience may substitute for education.
- 1–2 years of recent experience in user requirements analysis and software development; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Hands-on experience supporting HRMS systems and configuring Workday.
- Technical knowledge of .NET and MVC architectures, with programming experience in ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, HTML, XML, Java, JavaScript, REST API, and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and understand HR functions and processes.
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of HR processes, policies, and procedures.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
- Experience with React, SSRS, SSIS, Windows or web services, and Oracle Database.
