About the Role

You will own and evolve the model-governance program for credit products, assess model soundness and performance, identify risks and limitations, define remediation plans, strengthen validation practices, and document models clearly.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building and owning a model-governance program
• Experience in model validation, model risk management, model development, or data science
• Knowledge of credit models
• Knowledge of machine-learning concepts and techniques including XGBoost
• Knowledge of foundation models and neural networks
• Experience assessing model data, features, performance, stability, limitations, and use
• Fintech experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve a model-risk governance framework
• Assess conceptual soundness, data, features, performance, stability, and intended use of credit models
• Identify model weaknesses and create remediation plans
• Partner with Product, Data Science, and Engineering on model development and validation
• Create rigorous model documentation
• Provide independent challenge on modeling decisions
• Support responsible use of machine learning for credit scores and attributes
