Security Engineer, Infrastructure (Automotive)

Salary: $160,360–$240,540 per year, plus performance bonus and equity

What you will do

• Assess and secure infrastructure while protecting user data.
• Evaluate engineering teams’ vulnerability remediation through pull request reviews and other assessments.
• Design and build security tooling and infrastructure for engineering teams.
• Implement authentication, authorization, PKI, security pipelines, and automation for incident detection and response.
• Contribute across security areas including offensive testing, detection, and response.

Requirements

• Expertise in at least one core domain: public cloud security, corporate network and endpoint security, or application security.
• Software development skills, preferably in Python, Go, or C++.
• Ability to evaluate and remediate real and theoretical vulnerabilities.
• Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, analytical, and engineering judgment skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic startup environment.

Nice to have

• Vulnerability exploitation experience, including Capture the Flag competitions, 0-Days, CVEs, or security research presentations.
• Reverse engineering with IDA Pro, Ghidra, Radare, Frida, or similar tools.
• Experience with software or hardware development, systems engineering requirements, and verification.
• Experience attacking embedded, real-time, safety-critical, flight-critical, or automotive systems.
• Experience with CAN, Automotive Ethernet, vehicle buses, physical security assessments, Kubernetes, or Google Cloud security.
