Full-stack Engineer 4 (Manager IC - Vue JS, JavaScript, AWS)

Location: On-site in Richmond, Virginia, United States

Salary: $179,400–$204,700 per year, plus performance-based incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Lead diverse technology projects and guide developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
• Deliver cloud-based solutions for customer and business experiences using AWS and modern open-source technologies.
• Define service boundaries, integration patterns, reusable frameworks, and engineering standards with architects and Agile teams.
• Drive refactoring, technical-debt reduction, observability, and performance improvements across distributed systems.
• Evaluate emerging tools, influence technology strategy, and mentor engineers across the technical community.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative or engineering field.
• At least 4 years of software engineering experience and 2 years with public cloud, virtualization, or cloud productivity technologies.
• Experience with modern programming languages, front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, databases, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Experience with AWS or another public cloud, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, and cloud troubleshooting.
• Experience leading technical initiatives, establishing coding standards, mentoring engineers, and optimizing performance in distributed systems.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, or Scala.
• Experience contributing to open-source frameworks and using AI-based coding tools or interactive AI tooling.
