Asset & Wealth Management, Private Investing Research, Vice President (Private Markets)

Location: New York, NY, United States

Salary: USD 130,000–290,000 base salary annually, plus potential discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Conduct thematic and cross-asset research on macroeconomic themes and industry trends.
• Lead fundamental research and underwriting of private market opportunities.
• Build financial models, perform valuation analysis, and pressure-test operating assumptions.
• Develop tactical asset allocation strategies across public and private instruments.
• Build and backtest quantitative tools for risk, return, scenario, exposure, and performance analysis.
• Prepare research memos and presentations and communicate recommendations to investment committees and institutional clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or another highly quantitative discipline.
• At least 7 years of relevant investment experience in private equity, investment research, investment banking, or multi-asset portfolio management.
• Proven expertise in private market structures and asset classes, including private equity, venture growth, private credit, or real assets.
• Exceptional financial modeling and quantitative analysis skills, including experience with large datasets.
• Strong programming skills in at least one language, such as Python.
• Superior written and oral communication skills for presenting complex investment recommendations.
