2027 Construction Project Management Intern

Location: On-site five days per week in Willowbrook, Illinois, United States. Some related opportunities may be remote, hybrid, or onsite across North America.

Hourly base pay: $22.68–$32.40.

What you will do

• Plan and coordinate construction projects, including schedules, estimates, dependencies, milestones, CPM analysis, and histogram analysis.
• Work with engineering teams on programming and material selection for project systems.
• Maintain project operations budgets, revise estimates, monitor expenses, and forecast costs at completion.
• Prepare subcontractor requests for quotations with scopes, plans, specifications, milestones, bonding requirements, and billing schedules.
• Review subcontractor proposals and help supervise project staff, subcontractors, and installers.
• Communicate with contractors, subcontractors, owners, engineers, and project team members about scope, budgets, performance, issues, and close-out.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program throughout the summer internship; at least sophomore or second-year standing before the internship begins.
• Preferred academic background in Construction Engineering, Building Management, Construction Management, HVAC, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Knowledge of construction management processes, methods, and building systems through coursework, projects, groups, work, or volunteer experience.
• U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship is required.
• Valid driver's license held for at least 12 months, proof of insurance, and an acceptable driving record are required.
• The role is designated as safety sensitive and may require additional drug screening.
