2027 Summer Intern, Program Outreach (Upstate New York)

Location: Hybrid in Upstate New York; listed location: Albany, New York, United States. Relocation and housing assistance are not available.

Pay: $23 per hour. The listed full-time employment pay range is $34,564–$58,758 annually.

What you will do

• Conduct outreach throughout Upstate New York at energy fairs, festivals, and community events.
• Increase awareness and participation in the regional weatherization program.
• Report on outreach activities and their impacts.
• Collaborate with the Program Delivery team to support client clean energy goals.
• Work across multiple projects with staff and clients at different levels.

Requirements

• Complete at least 30 college-level credit hours by the start date.
• Preferred fields include energy or environmental studies, business, economics, engineering, or a related subject.
• Pass any required background checks, which may include drug screening.
• Demonstrate strong communication, organization, time-management, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
• Be able to prioritize multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of project management principles.
• Experience analyzing situations, identifying problems, and recommending solutions.
