Cloud Engineer II

Location: Hybrid in Ottawa or Toronto, Canada

Salary: $90,000–$110,000 annual cash compensation, plus a discretionary 10% company bonus.

What you will do

• Support production systems to meet SLA targets and maintain service availability for customer workloads.
• Build and maintain automation across Azure, GCP, and datacenter environments using Terraform, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Ansible, and scripting.
• Manage the lifecycle of production and Hands-on Lab environments, including deployments, resource management, and troubleshooting.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and investigate and resolve infrastructure and application incidents.
• Collaborate with Product, Platform, Security, and Support teams to improve service stability and operability.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement alongside senior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of experience supporting production systems in cloud environments such as GCP, Azure, or AWS.
• Experience in development, operations, or cloud engineering environments.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or ArgoCD.
• Experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting, plus a basic understanding of cloud platforms and services.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, documentation, teamwork, and ownership skills.

Nice to have

• Understanding of containers and orchestration, including Kubernetes.
