Information Systems Security Manager (AWS Cloud)

Location: Fairfax, Virginia, United States; work in the Fairfax office

Salary: $170,000–$190,000 per year

What you will do

• Serve as the primary Information Systems Security Manager for U.S. Navy information systems under DoD and DON cybersecurity policies.
• Lead the full Risk Management Framework lifecycle, including categorization, control selection, implementation, assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring.
• Develop and maintain System Security Plans, Security Assessment Reports, POA&Ms, and continuous monitoring strategies.
• Manage system accreditation activities and ensure accurate, complete authorization packages in eMASS.
• Coordinate assessments, audits, inspections, vulnerability management, STIG and SRG compliance, and incident response activities.
• Advise senior management and engineering teams while coordinating with Navy Authorizing Officials, assessors, system owners, and program managers.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance and willingness and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of cybersecurity experience, including 3+ years as an ISSM or senior ISSO in a DoD or Navy environment.
• Required experience with AWS GovCloud, AWS, Terraform, RMF, DoDI 8510.01, eMASS, and NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5.
• Experience supporting Navy programs such as NAVWAR, NAVAIR, NAVSEA, or USMC systems.
• Knowledge of SECNAV M-5239.1, DISA STIGs, SCAP compliance tools, ACAS, HBSS or endpoint security solutions, and on-premises, cloud, and hybrid architectures.

Nice to have

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Experience with Navy Authorizing Officials and Navy-specific RMF processes.
• Knowledge of Platform IT, weapons systems cybersecurity, DevSecOps pipelines, containerized environments, and Zero Trust Architecture.
• Experience with AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or Navy cloud environments.
