Technical Accountant

Salary: £60,000–£65,000 per annum plus bonus and other benefits

Professional services business seeking to strengthen its finance function through a newly created technical accounting role.

What you will do

• Prepare and deliver group consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Lead month-end and quarter-end consolidation cycles, including journals, intercompany eliminations, reconciliations, disclosures, and supporting analysis.
• Coordinate statutory financial statements and reporting requirements across group entities and countries.
• Coordinate corporate tax compliance, tax provisions, tax disclosures, and responses to tax authority enquiries.
• Act as a key contact for external auditors during interim and year-end audits.
• Strengthen controls, reporting documentation, systems, templates, and finance transformation initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience in technical accounting, group consolidation, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial statement disclosures.
• Experience coordinating tax reporting, external advisors, and audit activities.
• Ability to manage reporting timetables, deadlines, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Ability to improve reporting processes and maintain robust governance and control frameworks.
• Ability to work in Leeds, West Yorkshire.
