What you will do

• Build and lead the team responsible for high-voltage battery testing across pack and cell levels.
• Define performance, electrical, durability, abuse, and destructive test strategies and programs.
• Build laboratory infrastructure, test equipment, fixtures, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
• Establish safety and procedural standards for high-energy battery testing.
• Oversee battery bring-up, test execution, structured failure analysis, and feedback to design teams.
• Hire and develop electrical, performance, abuse, destructive-test, and cell-science engineering capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, aerospace, or related engineering.
• Extensive hands-on experience with battery testing, validation, or energetics system evaluation.
• Strong understanding of battery physics, safety behavior, failure modes, and high-voltage systems.
• Experience with battery test equipment, cyclers, chambers, DAQ systems, instrumentation, fixtures, and test setups.
• At least 3 years of experience leading test engineering teams and developing technical and leadership skills.
• Strong safety mindset and comfort overseeing high-energy, high-consequence test operations.
