TL;DR
Controller (AI/SaaS): Owns and scales Eudia’s accounting function, including close, consolidation, revenue recognition, audits, controls, equity, and financial systems with an accent on SaaS and AI consumption-based pricing under ASC 606. Focus on building controllership from scratch, consolidating international entities, designing scalable controls, and automating finance operations.
Location: Palo Alto, California; candidates must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area
Base salary: $230,000–$275,000 per year

What you will do
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close for the US business and consolidate financials for international entities and multiple business units.
- Lead revenue recognition under ASC 606 across subscription, consumption, services, and outcome-based AI pricing.
- Manage technical accounting policies covering commissions, capitalized software, leases, and AI-related cost of revenue.
- Lead annual audits and design, document, and test scalable internal controls.
- Own equity administration, investor and board reporting, fundraising support, and financial due diligence.
- Lead the accounting team, finance systems, billing reconciliation, compliance operations, and automation of the close.
Requirements
- 10+ years of accounting experience, including Big Four public accounting experience.
- Active CPA license required.
- Controller-level experience at a venture-backed SaaS company and experience building a startup controllership function from scratch.
- Deep expertise in SaaS and AI consumption-based revenue recognition under ASC 606.
- Experience with multi-entity consolidation, international entities, audits, investor and board reporting, equity management, and modern finance systems.
- Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Nice to have
- Experience with government contracts, including FAR and GSA schedule requirements.
- Experience with SOX implementation, IPO readiness, or public company reporting.
