2027 Summer Intern, Program Operations (Energy Efficiency)

Location: Remote from Massachusetts, New York, or New Jersey, with the opportunity for occasional in-office meetings.

Salary: $23 per hour expected. The listed full-time pay range is $37,855–$64,354.

What you will do

• Support utility energy-efficiency programs through data collection, analysis, reporting, and project tracking.
• Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets and databases for internal operations and project management.
• Prepare internal and client-facing deliverables, presentations, reports, technical specifications, and calculations.
• Support program delivery teams by communicating results and developing opportunities aligned with client clean-energy goals.
• Review program processes, identify efficiency opportunities, and help document or automate improvements.
• Coordinate with implementation teams, marketing, IT, customer care, service providers, clients, and vendors.

Requirements

• Must be able to work remotely from Massachusetts, New York, or New Jersey.
• At least 30 completed college-level credit hours by the start date, preferably in energy, environmental studies, business, economics, engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to pass required background checks, which may include drug screening.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, written, oral, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and knowledge of project management principles are preferred.
