Data Warehouse Support Manager (Reinsurance)

Location: Morristown, New Jersey, United States. Travel of up to 10% outside the country may be required.

Base salary: $145,000–$175,000 per year, with incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day production support for the Segment Data Warehouse, including incident triage, root cause analysis, data quality controls, and performance troubleshooting.
• Manage analysts and engineers monitoring Azure Data Factory pipelines, Databricks jobs, Qlik Replicate streams, and SQL Server batch processes.
• Own SLAs, escalation paths, on-call rotations, incident management, change management, release validation, and rollback readiness.
• Support critical month-end, quarter-end, renewal, actuarial, finance, claims, and underwriting reporting cycles.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, cloud, BI, vendors, upstream providers, and downstream business stakeholders.
• Drive observability, AI-assisted monitoring and root cause analysis, automation, operational dashboards, documentation, and compliance controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data warehouse support, operations, or administration, including 2–3 years in management or team leadership.
• Strong ETL/ELT, SQL, relational and cloud database knowledge, with hands-on experience in SQL Server and Snowflake.
• Working knowledge of Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Qlik Replicate, job monitoring, and incident management; ITIL experience is required.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, data accuracy, vendor management, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to operate across hybrid on-premises and cloud data architecture.

Nice to have

• Property and Casualty reinsurance experience, including treaty or facultative data, loss or premium bordereaux, and cession accounting.
• Actuarial data experience with loss triangles, exposure data, or catastrophe modeling outputs.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, DAX, Azure, Databricks Unity Catalog, data governance, or insurance regulatory reporting.
