Sr Data Engineer (Azure)

Location: Arlington, Virginia, United States; onsite four days per week and remote one day

Salary: $170,000–$185,000 conversion salary

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and optimize ETL pipelines feeding data warehouses.
• Integrate large and complex datasets and design scalable data warehousing solutions.
• Load and manage data in Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Develop Azure Data Factory pipelines and automate manual data delivery processes.
• Optimize databases while maintaining data quality, integrity, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders; document data flows and system architecture.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret security clearance required.
• BA or BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of related experience.
• Strong ETL experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database, or Azure Synapse Analytics.
• 6+ years of programming experience with SQL, Python, R, SAS, or JavaScript, including complex SQL queries.
• 4+ years working with machine learning, natural language processing, robotic process automation, artificial intelligence, data mining, or statistical and mathematical methods.
