Production & Technical Manager (Food Manufacturing)

Location: Mississauga, Canada; onsite manufacturing facility

Salary: $110,000–$125,000 CAD per year, plus bonus and benefits

What you will do

• Lead manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, service, cost, productivity, and customer requirements.
• Direct maintenance and reliability activities, including preventive and predictive maintenance, planning, equipment upgrades, and asset management.
• Drive Lean manufacturing, structured problem solving, continuous improvement, productivity, waste reduction, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, environmental, regulatory, and audit requirements.
• Partner with Quality, R&D, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams on quality issues, product introductions, and process improvements.
• Develop supervisors and technical leaders, manage workforce and succession planning, and build an accountable team culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• 7–10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including responsibility for both production and technical or maintenance functions.
• Strong knowledge of food manufacturing processes and food safety requirements.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Operational Excellence, or similar methodologies.
• Experience leading teams in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
• Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng.).
