Backend Software Engineer, DevOps

Location: Argentina; candidates must be based in La Plata, Bahía Blanca, Buenos Aires (CABA), Córdoba, Rosario, or Mendoza. Flexible remote work is combined with one day per week at the nearest office.

What you will do

• Provide and manage the environments where hirify.global applications run.
• Design deployment, configuration management, and infrastructure platforms.
• Develop tools that automate environment creation, deployments, and continuous testing.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and highly distributed systems.
• Integrate internal systems and improve communication between development, infrastructure, and delivery teams.
• Perform code reviews, technical analysis, and refactoring while promoting infrastructure and deployment best practices.

Requirements

• Software development skills and knowledge of development methodologies.
• Fluency in a structured programming language, preferably PHP, Java, or Python.
• Solid understanding of operating system concepts, particularly Linux.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, Puppet, Packer, Terraform, LXD, AWS, KVM, and Docker.
• Comfort using AI tools in day-to-day work and interest in emerging AI capabilities.

Nice to have

• Experience operating product-as-a-service platforms.
• Open-source experience or contributions to a Linux or Unix distribution.
