Senior DevOps Engineer (Cloud): Building and operating scalable, reliable platforms and workflows for media content ingestion, processing, and distribution with an accent on Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, observability, and CI/CD. What you will do
- Design, develop, test, and deploy reliable, maintainable software solutions.
- Redesign architectures to reduce complexity, modernize systems, and automate workflows.
- Build and enhance platforms for content ingestion, preparation, distribution, and media operations.
- Develop observability, CI/CD, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and platform capabilities.
- Monitor and optimize production systems, supporting availability, performance, incident response, and disaster recovery.
- Collaborate with software engineers, platform teams, product teams, and content operations while mentoring junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in SRE or DevOps roles.
- Experience operating distributed systems in cloud environments and administering Linux systems.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, container orchestration, networking, and production support.
- Experience with source control, CI/CD platforms such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins, and development in Go or Python.
- Experience with cloud automation tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform and the ability to work with geographically dispersed teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with gRPC, GraphQL, reactive programming, Kafka, Kinesis, object storage, and SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of cloud security practices, architectural design patterns, and distributed messaging technologies.
- Experience with streaming workflows, video content delivery, or media distribution pipelines.
- Previous experience in media, entertainment, or sports technology.
