Project Manager II - Blue Ring (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Manage multiple concurrent projects, defining scope, schedules, deliverables, success criteria, and recovery plans.
• Assess new equipment and capital assets, build cost and throughput business cases, and coordinate installation, qualification, and activation.
• Build capacity models across labor, equipment, and floor space, then allocate and rebalance production load across work centers and shifts.
• Conduct time studies, cycle time and takt analysis, line balancing, and throughput modeling to validate production assumptions.
• Own weekly and monthly reporting, leadership reviews, action tracking, planning events, and executive decision documents.
• Build dashboards, apply AI-based data tools, and improve project management and planning processes using Lean methods.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of project management experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or another complex technical environment.
• Technical foundation through engineering education, technical training, skilled trade or apprenticeship experience, or equivalent hands-on experience with complex engineered systems.
• Experience with capacity planning, demand-to-capacity models, competing priorities, capital planning, and equipment business cases.
• Working knowledge of industrial engineering fundamentals, including time studies, standard work, cycle time, takt analysis, line balancing, and throughput modeling.
• Experience building schedules and estimates with limited historical data, with proficiency in MS Project or equivalent tools.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, refugee, or person granted asylum in the United States.

Nice to have

• Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations Research education.
• Production or machine shop experience, including additive manufacturing, CNC machining, or post-processing.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher, value stream mapping, and kaizen facilitation experience.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Tableau, Smartsheet, Agile/Scrum, SQL, or AI-enabled workflows.
• PMP certification or equivalent credential.
