Associate Project Manager (Japanese / English)

What you will do

• Develop, execute, and maintain project plans and deliverables.
• Coordinate communication between Japanese customers, CEE-based teams, and hirify.global project teams.
• Manage distributed engineering teams delivering software and product content.
• Tailor project processes, monitor risks, and implement mitigation measures.
• Report project status, risks, and challenges to stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve project delivery and team effectiveness.

Requirements

• Japanese: written and spoken proficiency equivalent to JLPT N1 or N2; official certification is not mandatory.
• English: written and spoken proficiency at B2 level or higher.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration between Japan- and CEE-based teams.
• Ability to make decisions with limited information and guide teams through uncertainty and complexity.
• Self-reliant approach and ability to deliver agreed content.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience in IT project management, preferably within the software development life cycle.
• Understanding of software development methodologies and their impact on project deliverables.
• Experience with verbal translation during meetings.
• Prior people-management experience and openness to working with Japanese culture.
