Accounts Receivable Assistant

What you will do

• Process EU/UK customer invoices accurately and on time across multiple entities and currencies.
• Support cash allocation, payment application, credit control, and debtor collections by email and phone.
• Monitor customer invoicing portals and resolve invoice discrepancies and related queries.
• Reconcile customer statements, investigate issues, and communicate with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Create customer accounts, perform relevant credit checks, and support month-end transactions and journals.
• Handle ad hoc requests and support other finance team members during periods of absence.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of accounts receivable controls, collections, invoice matching, reconciliations, and month-end activities.
• Understanding of VAT and transaction coding according to the appropriate tax code.
• Prior experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA FI and SD modules; strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 skills.
• Fluent German and English, written and spoken, are required.
• 3–5 years of experience in a multi-currency accounts position, ideally in a shared services and international, multi-entity environment.
• School diploma equivalent to Realschulabschluss or higher and completed relevant vocational training.

Nice to have

• Experience with NetSuite.
• French or Italian language skills.
