Full Stack Engineer (Elixir/React)

Location: Hybrid in Paris, France — 2 days on site and 2 days remote as part of a 4-day week

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, and frontend applications.
• Build and optimize database schemas, data models, queries, caching strategies, and asynchronous processing systems.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, API contracts, technical documentation, and agile squad planning.
• Debug production issues, handle support requests within agreed SLAs, and improve system performance and scalability.
• Implement unit and integration testing, monitoring, logging, alerting, security, and continuous integration and deployment practices.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Engineering Managers, QA, and other Engineers while mentoring teammates through reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience across both backend and frontend development.
• Experience designing scalable architectures, RESTful APIs, and data models.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, query optimization, caching, and asynchronous processing.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, TDD, production monitoring, alerting, and incident management.
• Ability to mentor engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
• Professional English required for collaboration with international teammates.

Nice to have

• Experience with Elixir, Phoenix, React, TypeScript, or PostgreSQL, or motivation to learn them quickly.
• Experience with high-traffic products.
• Familiarity with Datadog, Sentry, Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS.
• Experience in a product company or SaaS environment.
