Senior Test Automation Engineer (Payments)

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, and review scalable enterprise test automation frameworks.
• Build and execute functional, integration, end-to-end, and regression test suites for critical workflows.
• Automate testing for payment applications and transaction-processing flows, including ACH, wire transfers, and SWIFT.
• Develop REST and SOAP API tests and use SQL to validate application data, transactions, and processing outcomes.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and test applications across AWS, Azure, GCP, and Docker environments.
• Analyze failures, perform root-cause analysis, resolve defects with engineering teams, and improve automation coverage and reliability.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in test automation, quality engineering, software testing, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience testing payment applications or transaction-processing systems, including ACH, wire transfers, SWIFT, or similar capabilities.
• Strong enterprise automation experience with Playwright and/or Selenium, plus Java and/or Python.
• Experience testing REST and SOAP APIs, using SQL and relational databases, and validating transaction data.
• Experience with at least one major public cloud platform, Docker, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall delivery, test planning, reporting, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration.
