TL;DR
Financial Reporting and Control Manager (Web3): Owning monthly group close, consolidation, statutory audits, regulatory returns, and financial reporting across multiple legal entities with an accent on Workday, digital asset accounting, and automated finance workflows. Focus on reviewing AI-generated outputs, challenging accounting treatments, managing intercompany eliminations, and producing defensible reports for executives, the board, auditors, and regulators.

Location: Hong Kong, Hong Kong; hybrid workplace.

What you will do

  • Own the monthly group close, including the close calendar, review gates, entity sign-offs, and consolidation in Workday.
  • Review intercompany eliminations, currency translation, entity results, recharges, and reconciliations across legal entities in Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas.
  • Prepare monthly Executive Committee reporting and quarterly board reporting, including clear commentary on automated variance analysis.
  • Deliver statutory audits, prepare schedules and workpapers, manage auditor requests, and challenge incorrect proposed adjustments.
  • Account for digital assets, staking and validator income, stablecoin activity, and trading results with audit-ready documentation.
  • Prepare regulatory financial returns for VARA in Dubai and MAS in Singapore, coordinate tax compliance, and improve close and reporting automation.

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant with CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification and three to five years of experience.
  • Experience with group consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and multi-currency reporting across several legal entities.
  • Experience with a modern ERP; Workday experience is advantageous.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge under IFRS or HKFRS.
  • Comfort working with AI tools and automated workflows, with the judgement to review system-generated results and challenge incorrect numbers or audit treatments.
  • Strong written and spoken English required. Cantonese or Mandarin is advantageous.

Nice to have

  • Audit experience at a Big Four or mid-tier firm.
  • Experience with digital asset or crypto accounting.
  • Regulatory financial reporting experience in Hong Kong, Singapore, or Dubai.
  • Examples of using AI tools in finance work.
