Senior Finance Manager, Settlement & Reconciliation

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day settlement operations for digital asset and fiat transactions, including procedures, controls, exception handling, and escalations.
• Develop and improve understanding of end-to-end settlement architecture across trading systems, wallets, custody, blockchain infrastructure, banking, data platforms, and finance systems.
• Own digital asset, fiat, and customer transaction reconciliation across operational records, internal ledgers, wallet and on-chain balances, custodians, banks, payment channels, and the general ledger.
• Investigate reconciliation breaks, missing transactions, timing differences, and data inconsistencies, coordinating sustainable remediation with Finance, Product, Engineering, Data, Wallet, and Operations.
• Define settlement data, reporting, reconciliation logic, accounting outputs, and transaction-level requirements for Product and Engineering teams.
• Build the settlement function, manage and develop the team, establish operational metrics, and drive automation, governance, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in settlement, clearing, reconciliation, transaction operations, custody, or related financial operations in a managerial or senior leadership role.
• Strong understanding of the trading lifecycle, settlement processes, transaction-level data, operational controls, and traceability.
• Experience in banks, securities firms, broker-dealers, exchanges, clearing houses, custodians, payment institutions, or other transaction-intensive financial organizations.
• Ability to translate finance and operational requirements into system, data, reporting, and reconciliation specifications for Product and Engineering teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder-management, communication, and team-leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with cryptocurrency, digital assets, exchanges, fintech, brokerage, or high-volume transaction platforms.
• Hands-on experience with digital asset, wallet, or on-chain reconciliation.
• Experience with fiat payment, banking, custodian, or payment-service-provider reconciliation.
• Experience with settlement or reconciliation system implementation, UAT, transformation, and process automation.
• SQL, data analytics, accounting systems, general ledger processes, or audit support experience.
