Lead Software Engineer – AI Agent for Software Development

Location: Warsaw, Poland; hybrid model with office work two days each week and remote work on other days.

What you will do

• Design, develop, operate, and evolve an internal AI agent supporting software development lifecycle activities such as code investigation, CI failure analysis, pull request reviews, backlog work, and recurring task automation.
• Develop agent runtime capabilities for planning, tool use, context management, reliable state recovery, and agent orchestration.
• Build secure and resilient integrations with source control, CI/CD, work-item tracking, collaboration, and documentation platforms using typed connectors and MCP tools.
• Improve hosted Linux sandboxes and remote sessions with confirmation and audit models for safe execution on user machines.
• Maintain the Blazor WebAssembly frontend and own Azure production reliability, including telemetry, diagnostics, performance, cost monitoring, deployment pipelines, and operational documentation.
• Mentor engineers, review code and architecture, contribute to technical forums, and promote AI engineering practices across teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with advanced C#/.NET backend skills.
• Deep distributed-systems expertise covering asynchronous processing, concurrency, cancellation, retries, idempotency, and state recovery.
• Experience building AI/LLM applications beyond simple prompt calls, including tool calling, agent orchestration, structured outputs, context management, and model-provider abstraction such as Azure OpenAI.
• At least 1 year of practical daily experience with AI coding agents such as Claude Code or Codex, plus experience with open-source agents such as OpenCode, Hermes, OpenClaw, or similar.
• Solid experience with ASP.NET Core, relational persistence with PostgreSQL or EF Core preferred, and external-facing APIs with authentication, authorization, rate limiting, and resilience policies.
• Cloud engineering experience on Azure and solid Linux knowledge covering shell, processes, networking, filesystems, and containerized-environment debugging.
• Ability to reason about security boundaries, secrets, RBAC, auditability, and safe execution of side-effecting operations.
• Frontend experience with Blazor or a modern SPA framework, Windows automation experience, and the ability to lead or mentor engineers and make technical decisions.
• Effective written and spoken English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Practical Docker and container-isolation experience.
• Familiarity with sandboxing technologies such as Sysbox, gVisor, or microVM-based isolation including Firecracker.
• Motivation to work in AI, follow market trends, and apply advances in memory, context management, and agent autonomy.
