Director of Forward Deployed Engineering

What you will do

• Own time-to-protection and repeatable deployment of Google SecOps, Microsoft Sentinel, and the Tenex Platform in customer environments.
• Lead multi-SIEM engineering across pipelines, parsers, detections, playbooks, and platform configuration.
• Own data-source onboarding, connector and API integrations, normalization, context engineering, and reusable integration patterns.
• Manage the health, optimization, and lifecycle of deployed platforms across the customer portfolio.
• Build delivery playbooks, quality gates, intake processes, and capacity models that scale with customer demand.
• Hire, coach, and lead engineers while owning delivery quality, SLOs, OKRs, and cross-functional delivery interfaces.

Requirements

• 8+ years in security engineering, security operations, or detection engineering, including 3+ years managing engineers.
• Hands-on depth with Google SecOps and Microsoft Sentinel, including Chronicle ingestion, parsers, YARA-L, entity graph, KQL, analytics rules, data connectors, and Log Analytics.
• Experience with data-source onboarding, connector/API development, normalization, multi-tenant delivery, and content-as-code or CI/CD workflows.
• Proven ability to build repeatable delivery systems using playbooks, quality gates, and capacity planning.
• Strong customer-facing communication and the ability to own delivery relationships with security teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with SOAR, Chronicle SOAR, Sentinel automation rules and playbooks, Bindplane, or Logstash.
• Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code experience.
• Prior MSSP, MDR, or managed security services experience.
• CISSP, CISM, GIAC, Google Cloud Professional, Microsoft SC-200/AZ-500, or AWS certifications.
• Experience working alongside agentic and advisory engineering functions.
