Senior Data Engineer

Location: Hybrid role open in Buenos Aires or Mar del Plata, Argentina

What you will do

• Translate client business goals into concrete data engineering solutions.
• Design systems, schemas, and data pipelines.
• Research and identify technical solutions for internal and client needs.
• Assess client portfolios, tools, and applications.
• Prioritize multiple tasks, communicate project status, and realign client expectations when scope or timelines change.
• Share engineering best practices with peers and new hires.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with programming fundamentals, modern development tools, version control, and debugging.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Ruby, and compiled languages such as Java, Scala, or C++.
• 2+ years of experience with pipeline or ETL tools, including Airflow, Luigi, Informatica, SSIS, or Datastage.
• 2+ years of experience with DevOps tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes, or Docker.
• Experience with database systems such as BigQuery, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, or Redshift.
• 2+ years of professional software and consulting experience, including client portfolio discovery and assessment.

Nice to have

• Experience working in AWS or GCP cloud environments.
• Experience with Unix-based operating systems.
• Experience working with a DevOps team or in an agile environment.
