Senior Engineer (Federal Cloud Platform)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain shared infrastructure services and platforms for product and application teams.
• Develop internal infrastructure tools and automation primarily with Go and Python.
• Architect reusable cloud patterns across AWS, Azure, and other cloud environments, including multi-region platforms.
• Build event-driven architecture components, messaging platforms, distributed systems, RESTful APIs, and service mesh capabilities.
• Establish centralized observability and monitoring platforms and highly available relational database services.
• Collaborate with development teams, provide technical guidance, manage vulnerabilities and SLAs, and participate in on-call rotations.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Senior SRE focused on building tools and services for engineers.
• Deep production experience with Kubernetes, including single-tenant and multi-tenant platform architectures.
• Strong Go and Python programming skills for backend services and infrastructure automation.
• Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider, event-driven systems, CI/CD pipelines, distributed systems, observability platforms, RESTful APIs, service mesh, and relational databases.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-centric approach to supporting internal development teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, equivalent practical experience, or equivalent military experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with FedRAMP compliance and government security requirements.
• Experience implementing secure CI/CD pipelines in restricted or regulated environments.
