Senior QA Engineer (QA Automation)

Location: Berlin and hybrid; candidates should be based in Germany or Europe. Remote and hybrid arrangements are available.

What you will do

• Shape the QA strategy and improve the quality of features delivered to production.
• Develop an automated test framework from scratch and create manual and automated test scenarios.
• Implement integration, end-to-end, functional, and regression testing across web applications.
• Test microservices, APIs, and integrations using Postman, REST, SOAP, and related tools.
• Investigate defects, analyze application logs and service metrics, and document findings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver reliable features on schedule.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
• Experience developing automated test scripts with JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Ruby.
• Experience with Cypress, Selenium, or similar test automation frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, test design, test strategies, and scalable QA processes.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and testing APIs, integrations, JSON, XML, and relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; candidates should be based in Germany or Europe.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jest, Appium, Google Cloud Platform, and mobile testing.
• Experience working in Agile environments with Jira.
