Medical Affairs Industrial Placement

Location: Reading, UK; hybrid work with 3 days per week in the Reading office, including either Monday or Friday. Start date: 1 July 2027. Duration: 13 months.

What you will do

• Support medical projects and activities aligned with the UK and Ireland medical plan.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Marketing, Market Access, Health Economics, Regulatory and Clinical teams.
• Develop scientific, educational and digital content.
• Review and summarise scientific information for Medical Affairs activities.
• Build knowledge of the therapeutic area, hirify.global medicines and the wider scientific landscape, sharing relevant learnings with the team.

Requirements

• Studying for a Life Sciences degree at undergraduate level or in an integrated Master’s programme, with plans to return to university after the placement.
• Fluent English with confidence in written and spoken communication.
• Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
• Organised and proactive approach, including planning, prioritisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work independently and seek guidance when needed.
• Confidence using common digital tools and office applications, with the ability to learn new systems.
