Cyber Security Analyst (Cybersecurity): Protecting systems, networks, and data through threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and security control development with an accent on ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, cloud security, and SOC operations. Focus on investigating security events, improving detection and response capabilities, embedding secure practices into the SDLC, and leading initiatives that strengthen resilience and compliance.
Location: Onsite at the offices in Crewe, Cheshire, United Kingdom

What you will do
- Implement and optimise cybersecurity technologies and controls across internal and customer-facing platforms.
- Identify cyber risks, control deficiencies, and improvement opportunities, and recommend risk-reduction measures.
- Support secure cloud infrastructure and services, including security-by-design practices and AWS security controls.
- Monitor security events and alerts, investigate threats, and perform cyber incident response.
- Manage vulnerabilities, penetration testing findings, remediation tracking, threat intelligence, and security assessments.
- Develop security policies, documentation, SOC processes, monitoring capabilities, and compliance initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong practical knowledge of cybersecurity, application security, network security, operating systems, infrastructure, and cloud security.
- Experience with vulnerability management, penetration testing, EDR, NDR, SIEM, alert investigation, and incident response.
- Knowledge of ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus, MITRE ATT&CK, and NIST Cybersecurity Frameworks.
- Understanding of Windows and Linux, servers, virtualisation, databases, web servers, TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, WAFs, IAM, DLP, and software supply-chain risks.
- Ability to collaborate with software development teams on secure SDLC practices and communicate security recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, lead security initiatives, and maintain clear technical documentation.
