Senior Test Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Austin, TX, United States; on-site. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

What you will do

• Configure and execute functional, integration, environmental, qualification, and production acceptance tests.
• Prepare flight hardware, qualification units, engineering development units, fixtures, cables, and instrumentation for system-level verification.
• Verify hardware configurations, software loads, instrumentation connections, calibration status, and test readiness.
• Troubleshoot test equipment, fixtures, cable assemblies, connectors, instrumentation, and hardware discrepancies.
• Operate oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power supplies, digital multimeters, data acquisition systems, and environmental test equipment.
• Document test results and discrepancies, maintain laboratory records, guide junior technicians, and improve test workflows and repeatability.

Requirements

• Associate degree, technical certification, formal occupational or military training, or equivalent hands-on experience in engineering technology, electronics, manufacturing technology, or a related discipline.
• 5–7 years of experience in engineering support, manufacturing, laboratory testing, systems integration, or technical operations.
• Advanced knowledge of laboratory operations, functional testing, system integration, environmental testing, and aerospace verification practices.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, test procedures, interface documentation, and technical specifications.
• Experience with configuration management, ESD controls, FOD prevention, calibration practices, AS9100 quality standards, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, LabVIEW or equivalent instrumentation software, and tools such as Windchill, Jira, or Confluence.
