Aerospace Test Technician III

Location: Onsite at hirify.global's site in Silver Spring, Maryland, United States. The role requires standing and walking for 8+ hours, working in production and equipment areas, field locations, elevated spaces, and varied shifts as needed. U.S. office candidates must meet ITAR eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylee status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.

Salary: $54,000–$66,000 USD per year, plus potential equity.

What you will do

• Perform environmental testing of aerospace mechanisms, including static load, thermal vacuum, separation, shock, and vibration tests.
• Operate spaceflight hardware and test fixtures using data acquisition systems and established procedures.
• Attach and remove components on spaceflight hardware.
• Inspect mechanical and electrical components after testing.
• Maintain test fixtures and suggest process improvements.
• Assist with non-conformance investigations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace environmental testing.
• Understanding of basic electronic circuitry.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with attention to detail.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at height and in tight or awkward spaces, and perform repetitive physical motions.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.

Nice to have

• Associate's or bachelor's degree.
• 8+ years of experience in aerospace environmental testing.
• Proficiency with electronic circuitry.
