Staff People Analyst (Applied AI)

Location: Mountain View, California; Frisco, Texas; New York, New York; or San Diego, California

Base pay: $169,500–$229,000 in Mountain View; $159,500–$215,500 in New York; $151,000–$204,000 in San Diego.

What you will do

• Design, build, and iterate AI proof-of-concepts and experiments for talent analytics, workforce planning, talent acquisition, and related people-data use cases.
• Develop agent-assisted analytics with explicit decision boundaries, governed data, confidence tiers, and traceable output provenance.
• Define dashboard, visualization, self-serve, and conversational analytics patterns using certified data sources.
• Partner with the AI Transformation, Technology, HR, data engineering, and product teams on enterprise standards, contextual-layer infrastructure, and production handoffs.
• Evaluate technical feasibility and risk, provide estimates and recommendations, and communicate next steps to senior stakeholders.
• Establish reusable AI patterns and coach analysts and partner teams on AI-assisted projects and agents.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in AI, data analytics, computer science, business, human resources, industrial/organizational psychology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in business/data analytics or applied AI/ML, with hands-on ownership of building and shipping solutions.
• Direct experience building and deploying AI agents or LLM-powered tools and prototypes using tools such as Claude or GPT.
• Working knowledge of data warehouses, data pipelines, data architecture, dashboard and BI design, and self-serve or conversational analytics.
• Experience defining AI output confidence tiers, estimating ambiguous initiatives, evaluating feasibility, and making build/no-build recommendations.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous problem spaces.

Nice to have

• Experience with Workday HCM data and Avature or other recruiting platforms.
• Experience partnering with enterprise AI, platform, or ML engineering teams on shared standards or infrastructure.
• Familiarity with talent analytics, workforce planning, people-data governance, security, and access controls.
