Senior Gameplay Engineer – Game Modes (Unreal Engine)

Location: Flexible remote role with pay varying by geographic location; Seattle is given as an example location.

Salary: $160,000–$240,000 USD base pay range.

What you will do

• Build and maintain production-quality gameplay systems, workflows, and tools in C++ using Unreal Engine 5.
• Own game mode systems for an unannounced project from pre-production through release and ongoing development.
• Provide technical guidance on code and content that work effectively with the simulation and network model.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, content creators, and the engine team to define and develop reusable game-building blocks.
• Work across systems-focused engineering disciplines to support a new game franchise.

Requirements

• Ability to write, debug, and maintain C++ code.
• Experience developing with Unreal Engine.
• Experience building systems, components, and tools for designers and artists.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working independently with minimal oversight.
