Location: Remote in the Bay Area, California, US

Salary: $152,700–$245,400 annually, depending on US pay zone, location, skills, experience, and market conditions.

What you will do

• Set Square’s social strategy, audience definition, success metrics, and connection to brand positioning.
• Build and manage the content calendar across major campaigns and always-on organic content.
• Develop and publish content with creative partners while maintaining quality and channel relevance.
• Own community management, brand voice, social listening, trend evaluation, and timely opportunities.
• Partner with paid social, media, partnerships, brand, demand generation, legal, agencies, and creators.
• Support crisis and issues management, moderation workflows, performance reporting, and brand perception goals.

Requirements

• 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 6 years with a Master’s degree, 3 years with a PhD, or equivalent experience.
• Exceptional communication skills and confident brand-voice writing.
• Deep understanding of target audiences, social formats, references, and conversations.
• Strong judgment regarding trends, brand positioning, channel fit, and timely publishing.
• Experience developing and executing social strategy, including building and running organic owned channels.
• Experience partnering cross-functionally without direct reporting authority.
